Do you agree with Turing's Test?
Does this really test for Human -like Intelligence?
Can you think of a better test?
Artificial Intelligence is used in various segments of the aviation industry. Artificial Intelligence is used for Air Traffic Control (ATC) for both the training of the Air Traffic Controllers and Decision making. The closest approach to such an automated Air Traffic Control would be the Gander Automated Air Traffic System (GAATS) which is used by the Nav Canada in the Gander Area Control Center (GACC).
Artificial Intelligence is used in the Airplanes as well for purposes ranging from Computation and Calculation (Distance, Altitude, Wind speed, Velocity) to the very designing of these aircraft. Some software are designed such tht they aid the airplane designer in the designing of the aircraft so that the designer focuses on the design rather than the process of designing. One such software is used by the Air Operations Division (AOD).

VIRTUAL REALITY
The computer generated simulation of a 3D environment that can be interacted
with by using special equipment, or more simply "VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT"
a result of a concurrence between certain branches of computing and research.
Traces of virtual reality can be found in the Early 20th century as well, for
instance:
·
World's first flight simulator was developed by Edwin Lurk in 1920.
·
The first Head Mounted Display (HDM) was developed by Philco Cooperation in
the mid 20th century.
But what actually triggered the
growth of virtual reality were the advancements in technology like the development of 3D graphics, Computational power, Artificial life(AI), Interactive technologies et cetra.
Some of the latest advancements in Virtual Reality being-
·
Google Cardboard
·
Samsung GEAR VR (HMD)
·
The Oculus Rift

The evidence of success of Artificial Intelligence in this field can be
reeled from the fact that Artificial Intelligence is actually contributing in
areas which are out of human capacity in some cases. For instance, In 2003,
NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, and many other companies jointly
developed a software that could enable a damaged aircraft to continue flying
until a safe landing zone can be reached.
