As a kid, I was (and still am, for that matter) a huge fan of the Star Wars series. After watching the most recent installment in the series, Episode VII: The Force Awakens, the thought happened to cross my mind: what future does AI possess? Will AI develop into droids, like the infamous C-3PO, R2-D2, or BB-8, and transform our world into their "galaxy far, far away?"
Of course, for die-hard fans of the series, this would be a dream come true.
Humans have successfully developed AI systems that are capable of performing *continue research here*
However, despite the advances that AI has made during the last few decades, humans are far from replicating the technology of the Star Wars universe. We are a ways away from creating "robot sentience", so AI just might not be the droids that you are looking for.
